The Goat Shack is part of a cozy row of cabins offering a fully stocked kitchens 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a deck overlooking one of our large, well-stocked fishing ponds. These cabins can sleep up to 6 people. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom features a queen bunkbed. There is also a washer/dryer inside to help you stay on top of your laundry for an extended stay.

The Cabin Location

This house is located on 50 acres right by a large pond. It is nestled in large pine and oak trees, beside a beautiful large pond that you can view from your own back porch deck.

This property is located less than 5 miles from Loop 287, which takes you around the city of Lufkin. Downtown Lufkin is less than 10 minutes away. Lake Sam Rayburn, the largest lake located entirely in Texas, is an 8-mile drive on Hwy 103 E.

The Grounds

Located on 50 acres of beautiful land, right next to a large pond, The Chicken Coop is surrounded by towering pine and oak trees. You can enjoy stunning views of the pond right from your own back porch deck, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation.

Despite its peaceful country setting, this property is conveniently located less than 5 miles from Loop 287, providing easy access to the heart of Lufkin. Downtown Lufkin is just a 10-minute drive away, and Lake Sam Rayburn, the largest lake entirely in Texas, is only 8 miles away down Hwy 103 E.

Convenient Guest Access

Feel free to explore the 50-acre property by hiking or biking along the scenic trails. If you prefer fishing, you're in luck! Try your hand at catching bass, catfish, crappie, or perch in one of our two large, well-stocked ponds. Or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the soothing sounds of nature while watching birds and squirrels go about their day.

For larger groups, we have the perfect solution! Our Vacation Farmhouse, located on the same property, is also available for rent. This spacious home sleeps up to 15 people with its five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It features a sunroom, large living and kitchen area, separate office space, and even a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and waterfall. (Please note that the swimming pool and jacuzzi are not heated and are only accessible to renters of the Vacation Farmhouse.)
